Of generous double-gourd form with relief decoration of scrolling vine tendrils and leaves and a baby double gourd, the surface decorated in overglaze enamels and gilding with autumn grasses and morning glory in late Rimpa style. Four character mark in iron red to the base reading 'Shichi Shichika'. 31.5cm high, 18cm diameter. Chips to some of the edges of leaves.
