Ko-Imari 'ai-Kutani' blue and white Fuji-shaped dish

Edo Period (1603-1868), c. 1655-1670
Moulded in the shape of Mount Fuji (as it appeared prior to the 1707 eruption), decorated with a landscape in Kano school style and clouds to the interior with diaper pattern to the sides (alluding to fences), the reverse with diaper patterns and flying chidori (sea plovers) over waves, with a fuku mark to the base. 4.5cm high, 29.5cm wide. A few very small flakes to the rim.
